Attention to Authors

The journal "Environment & Health" publishes articles that contain new theoretical and experimental data, results of scientific research on the state of population health and the environment, identification of health risks for the population from the effects of environmental factors, living conditions, lifestyle, nutrition, and occupational factors, and their role in the formation of population morbidity.

Documents accompanying the manuscript

• Official letter from the institution (signed by the head and sealed) stating whether the article is a dissertation; if the article comes from multiple institutions — a letter from each of them.
• Expert conclusion regarding the absence of state secrets.
• Bioethics committee opinion of the institution.
• Agreement on the transfer of copyright (filled out individually by each author with an original signature).
• Information about the authors (last name, first name, patronymic, position, academic degree, academic rank, place of work).

Formatting requirements

Manuscripts are submitted in both electronic and paper formats. The language of the article is Ukrainian or English. Articles in English are given priority. Total length should not exceed 23,000 characters with spaces (including figures, tables, and references).

Text file formats: doc, docx, or rtf. Tables should be created in Microsoft Word. Text: Times New Roman, 14 pt, single line spacing. Margins 2.5 cm on all sides. Pages numbered. No automatic hyphenation, endnotes, headers or footers. Illustrations should be grouped and placed in the text in vertical (portrait) orientation, and also sent as a separate jpg file.

General structure of the article

Title page (in Ukrainian and English):

1. UDC (Universal Decimal Classification).
2. Author's (authors') surname and initials.
3. Article title (up to 10 words) reflecting its content.
4. Full name of the institution, postal address, city, country.
5. Email of each author.
6. Contact phone number (not for publication).
7. Contribution of each author under CRediT taxonomy (https://credit.niso.org/).
8. ORCID identifier for each author.

Abstract: provided in Ukrainian and English; 150–300 words; structured: aim, materials and methods, results or review, conclusions; keywords (3–5 words).

References

• References list formatted according to DSTU 8302:2015 (Ukrainian standard) for the Ukrainian version.
• References in the Roman alphabet according to the Vancouver style (link).
• Always include DOI/URL where available.
• Up to 10–12 sources for original articles, up to 40 for reviews. At least 70% published within the last 5 years; 50% foreign.

Plagiarism and peer review

All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism, publication duplication and text reuse. Articles are accepted for publication based on the results of editorial double-blind peer review.

Publication fee

The publication fee is UAH 650. Payment is made after acceptance by the editorial board and approval by the Academic Council of the SI "O.M. Marzeiev Institute for Public Health of the NAMS of Ukraine".
