Content Requirements and Submission Procedures for Publications
Requirements for the Structure and Content of Articles
The requirements for the structure and content of articles comply with the provisions of the Ukrainian National Standard DSTU 7152:2020. Publication. Formatting of publications in journals and collections and the Recommendations of the EASE (European Association of Scientific Editors) for authors and translators of scientific articles in English.
Original scientific articles in Ukrainian or English are accepted for consideration.
The article must contain:
- UDC Number.
- Article Title.
- Author Names.
- Author Affiliations.
- Abstract.
- Keywords.
- Main Text.
- References.
- Funding.
- Conflict of Interest.
- Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence.
- Author Information and Contributions.
Manuscripts must be accompanied by the following supporting documents:
- A cover letter stating that:
- the manuscript has not been published previously;
- the manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere;
- all authors have read and approved the manuscript and agree to its submission;
- upon publication, the authors transfer the copyright to the Editorial Office of the scientific journal "Environment & Health".
- Institutional Bioethics Committee approval (if applicable).
- Author information, including:
- full name;
- position;
- academic degree;
- academic title;
- affiliation;
- ORCID.
Every published article involving research on humans or animals must include, in the “Materials and Methods” section, a reference to the protocol number and the date of the ethics committee meeting. Authors must obtain informed consent from all study participants or their legal representatives. When reporting the results of studies involving humans, animals, or their biological materials, a copy of the committee’s decision must be submitted along with the manuscript in PDF format.
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal website (the "Submission" section). The journal accepts manuscripts in Ukrainian or English. Manuscripts submitted in English are given publication priority. The maximum length of a research article, including figures, tables, and references, must not exceed 23,000 characters (including spaces).
Text file formats: doc, docx, or rtf. Tables should be created in Microsoft Word.
The text of the article should be in Times New Roman font, 14-point size, with single line spacing. Page margins should be 2 cm on all sides (left, right, top, bottom). Pages must be numbered. Do not use automatic hyphenation, endnotes, headers, or footers, etc. Illustrative material must be grouped and placed within the text of the article in portrait (book) orientation. To ensure correct reproduction, illustrative material of appropriate quality should be sent along with the electronic version of the article in a separate file in jpg format. If previously published images are used in the article, permission must be obtained from their owner.
Works that have been published in other journals may not be submitted to the editorial office.
References to unpublished works, works for restricted use, dissertations, working documents of the WHO and other organizations are not permitted.
All submitted manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism, duplicate publications, and text reuse. Manuscripts are accepted for publication based on the results of a double-blind peer review.
Receipt of the article will be confirmed by email.
