Environment & Health is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to investigating the effects of environmental, occupational, and social factors on population health, as well as issues related to public and occupational health, hygiene, epidemiology, preventive medicine, and human health risk assessment.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and analytical papers aimed at advancing scientific understanding of the relationships between the environment and human health, improving methods for assessing exposure to harmful factors, providing a scientific basis for preventive interventions, and strengthening public health systems.

Particular emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary research integrating medical, biological, environmental, and social sciences to address current challenges in protecting population health. Priority is given to studies with scientific and practical relevance to health risk assessment, disease prevention, the promotion of safe living and working conditions, and the development of evidence-informed public health policies.

The journal welcomes submissions from Ukrainian and international researchers whose work aligns with its scientific scope and meets internationally recognized standards of research integrity and scientific quality.

All submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening to assess their alignment with the journal's aims and scope. Manuscripts that lack a sufficiently substantiated connection to the journal's core research areas are not forwarded for external peer review.

In accordance with Order No. 928 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, dated 11 June 2026, entitled “On the Inclusion of Scientific Periodicals in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine,” Environment & Health is included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine (Category B).
